Brylee's ONE Month Pictures

I did the Christmas theme for Brylee's one month pictures. We took them last week and just got them back, they are fun! She did so good, just slept, but we got one or two smiles while she was sleeping! I cant believe she will be 5 weeks tomorrow, wow! She is growing....she weighs 8 pounds, 11 ounces today!

Merry Christmas

Just wanting to wish y'all a Merry Christmas! We are heading out of town for the next few days....so there wont be much blogging, but I hope all of you are having a wonderfuly time with your families!

Eyes Wide Open

Last night we had Christmas at my grandparents house...and Brylee was wide awake the whole time! She went almost 7 hours without sleeping, I was shocked! She had her eyes wide open the whole time...and was just checking everyone out! She always looks like she is trying to figure things out when she has her eyes open, she is funny! But, it was obvious she didnt want to miss out on her first party!!

Baby Picture Comparison

Every time I look at Brylee I just can't figure out who she looks like! Most people that visit say me, probably just because she is a girl! Some say a mix of both of us...and others just dont know. But, I do think my first baby picture looks alot like Brylee...what do you think?

First time to Church

Brylee enjoyed her first time Church...it made me very happy to be able to bring her today. Church is so important, and I know we will always do our best to raise her in a way so that she will love God so much! She did so good, and she was so quiet the whole time!

First Date Night

On Friday me and Brandon went out to dinner for the first time since Miss Brylee. We only went for about 2 hours, but it was nice to spend some time talking! When Brylee is around we spend most of our time staring at her!! We did find ourselves talking about Brylee, and by the end of dinner we were missing her like crazy!

3 weeks and sick :(

It has been a good week, but a hard week around here. Brylee got sick a couple of days ago and so that has been hard. She just has a cold, and she is congested so it has been harder for her to breathe when she is sleeping at night. (which means I am up every second making sure she is ok!) I don't like the fact that she doesn't feel good, it makes me sad. But, we went to the doctor today he said it should only last a week and she will be fine. She also weighed 8 pounds, 1 ounce already! Man, I was shocked she gained a pound in 8 eight days. She is already starting to grow up...which is also sad for me, it's happening fast.

Anyway, here she is trying to hold her head up. She is doing so good with that!

Question for you new moms....At how many weeks should start eating less often?? Like every 4 hours or so?

Big Girl Bath

We were finally able to give Brylee a bath in her big girl tub! I was so happy! The one thing I have not enjoyed so far is making her suffer that sponge bath, it killed me...she would just scream so much, it was so sad. So after 3 weeks of that she is finally able to enjoy her warm bath..and she really liked it! She was just chillin...it was so funny!

Just a reminder of how she looked on the sponge bath. She was so tiny, she is already growing so much.

I don't know who was happier....me or her! Hopefully bath time will be much more enjoyable from now on!

Brylee & Santa

Brylee went on her first trip to see Santa. She slept the whole time so I am not sure what she asked Santa for!! She was a sweetheart. It was funny though, as soon as I put her in Santa's arms she made a dirty diaper! And Santa said "Uh oh" and then he looked at his hand! It was hilarious.

She was not waking up for us...no matter what!

Cutest Cowboys Fan

Brylee's Dallas Cowboy outfit was too big....but we thought we would put her in it for the big game on Sunday night. She slept through most of the game...but every once in a while we caught her smiling! I love when she smiles!

Brylee's 1st Trip to the mall

I just had to document the first time Brylee entered the mall!! I'm sure there will be many times she goes to the mall....but nothing like the first! She slept most of the day, but then woke up towards the end and was just looking around at all the people. If she is anything like me...the mall will be her favorite place!

Brittany Update

Hello to all, We have had a rough week with Brittany running constant fever but the good news is that after a week of fever, we finally have had 48 hours fever free. The bad news is that after a week of battling fever, Brittany is exhausted. Luckily her blood numbers are doing pretty well so if we make it another day without any problems, they are going to give us a "go home free" pass from the hospital.

At this time, Brittany is ready for a change of scenery. Our prayer is that things will go smoothly and Brittany will get to stay home through Christmas. Unless things change, we are scheduled to begin the third round of Chemo treatments on December 29.

In the meantime, Christmas is fast approaching and I know Santa needs to get some shopping done. Brittany has discovered the ease and convenience of online shopping and is way ahead of her mother in completing her Christmas list. We do want to remember the reason for the season and wish you health and happiness in the coming year. As always we treasure each of you and will continue to keep you posted on Brittany's progress.

Brylee's Funny Positions

Brylee is so hilarious when she sleeps. She never just lays there. She is always doing something cute with her arms and I just love watching her. My mom and Audra were putting her arms in postions when she was sleeping and she would just continue to hold the position. Here are some of the things she was doing!
