Remember when we were little girls.....
....and we actually smiled when we saw ourselves in a mirror.
Remember when we were little girls...
.....and we didn't have a care in the world.
Remember when we were little girls....
....and we laughed with other little girls. We hugged other girls without worrying what they might think.
Remember when we were little girls and we loved hard. We loved hard because we hadn't been hurt yet by other girls and our hearts were so pure.
Remember when we were little girls and our minds were filled with imagination and innocence....
we didn't think twice about another girls intentions or her motives.
Remember when we were little girls and our dreams were endless. All we thought about is what we could do....and it never crossed our minds to think about what we couldn't do.
Remember when we were little girls and we looked at other girls with love on our mind. And nothing else.
Remember when we were little girls and we didn't have insecurities holding us back from living life in the way that God had planned.
Remember when we were little girls and we didn't know what it meant to be angry or hate another woman.
Remember when we were little girls and we felt freedom. We never felt tied down by our past, our pain or others. We felt free and we were able to live in each moment without second guessing anything.
Remember when we were little girls and we celebrated with another girl when something went her way. We didn't feel jealous or envious....we innocently celebrated in our hearts.
Remember when we were little girls and we loved others more than we loved ourself.
Remember when we were little girls and all we knew was peace.
Remember when we were little girls...
......and we could take pictures of ourselves without worrying how fat or akward we might look.
Remember when we were little girls and we didn't know any better than to just love every feature that God gave us....
Remember when we were little girls and we were so quick to forgive. If something happened then "I'm Sorry" was good enough....and then we just kept playing.
Remember when we were little girls.....
....and it felt amazing to just be who God created us to be!
Sometimes I wish we could all go back to just being little girls. It was so easy. Today Brylee & Anna Kate taught me so much and they didn't even know it. They are precious two-year olds who know what it means to live how God desires for us to live. They reminded me that we all used to be like that and we all used to love like that.
As they were playing dress-up, and running around, Anna Kate looked up at me and said....
"I'm so happy!"
I just about cried. Then Brylee said...
"I'm so happy too Mommy!"
You should have seen both of their faces. Their little teeth growing in were the cutest part about them in that moment as their faces were grinning in smiles. My prayer is that somehow I can raise my girls to hang onto this innocence that they have in their hearts. It was absolutely precious. Today was so perfect....there is so much we can learn from children....
