I know I have mentioned that our church is on a "Love in motion" mission. I have already been amazed at all of the random acts of kindness that I have heard about over the last week. It is so neat to see how God can use children and cookies and small kind things to bring so much joy to the faces of strangers.
I went with Ross and Audra tonight to put love into motion and it was amazing. We went to the fire department near our home. We brought a popcorn bucket with popcorn, candy and the movie Courageous to the fireman. It was neat because they gave us a tour and we got to see their movie/media space where they can all sit and watch the movie! We thanked them for all their hard work and they were so kind and appreciative back.
Half way through the tour the alarms went off and we had to run out because they had an emergency. They were literally in the trucks and on the road in less than 45 seconds, if not faster. We watched them go from our cars...pretty cool. They truly risk their lives daily for strangers and it was so amazing to show them love back!
We also left a bucket on our brothers doorstep. He is police officer and we wanted to show him appreciate too! We have one more bucket and we can't wait to see where God leads us to take it.
