Every morning all of us girls literally have a camp-out in my bathroom. Someone is in the bath, someone is in the shower, the toys are everywhere and somehow we manage to get all 3 of us ready. It is pretty fun. We also have the music going on my phone with the speakers and we know how to rock it out. I don't know who can "shake it" better....Brylee or Gracie?! (see there I go calling her Gracie! Different names always come out haha...hope that doesn't drive you crazy!)
But seriously, these little girls can move and it is so fun to watch them And I think it is more fun to watch Cerly stare at Brylee and then try to do what she does. I love that time with them.
Anyway, this morning a song came on and it was so so sweet. I had not heard it in a very long time so it kind of caught me off guard. I was already emotional, because today was a very emotional day, and when I heard the song I teared up even more.
It is called "the eyes of a child."
After listening to it I wanted to be able to see "life" through the eyes of a child. It talks about how when we give love then it is love that we find. So simple, so true. But I love the chorus....I think I always love the chorus :)
In the eyes, of a child, there is joy and there is laughter.
There is hope, there is trust, a chance to shape the future.
For the lessons of life, there is no better teacher....
than the look in the eyes of a child.
And the music with the words just makes it even sweeter. I try really hard to live life with innocent eyes. I genuinely do. But sometimes I stink at it and right now I am stinking at it big time. Over the last few weeks I have allowed the world to be the eyes that I see life through and that never works well for me.
Thankful for these words in this song to remind me what a blessing children are and how there is so much that we can learn from them. They so easily hope, and trust, and laugh. They are precious.
Today I am praying for children and Mommy's because that is what is on my heart to pray for. And I want to do better at seeing life with beautiful & innocent eyes....
I love Cerly's eyes. She captures me every day with them....
