Get Real Monday. E429

Ephesians 4:29

"Watch the way you talk. Let nothing foul or dirty come from your mouth. Say only what helps, each word is a gift."

My bible is "the message" version so it will read a little different than others, but the idea is the same. Everything that we say matters. Nice words, ugly words, clean words, dirty words. All the words matter.

During the couples retreat, one of the ladies said E429 and then she told us what that meant to her. E429 stands for this verse in Ephesians that talks about our mouths and our words. She said that she tries very hard to apply this verse to her marriage and I know that God has blessed her because of this. So many times we all lose control of our words and we many situations much worse than they need to be. I hate when I do that and I always regret it. No matter who it is with...

So this is just something that I personally want to keep in my mind and I love the whole E429 because it is a way that I can remember exactly where the verse is found and what it stands for. That is good stuff. Our words will MAKE or BREAK our relationships so why do we allow ourselves to lose control??

So Brandon needed a new picture of the four of us for his office. We tried several times to get a good one. Here are two. I can almost say that it is IMPOSSIBLE to get one with all of us looking!!!! But I think I might just go with this first one...even though Cerly is not exactly looking. I don't know....maybe we will try again! What do you think?!
