Love is blind

LOVE.

Today is LOVE day! Last night, just for fun, I was reading scripture on love. I loved when I read this....

"Trust steadily in God, hope unswervingly, love extravagantly."

For me, the only way I can love like that is to fully understand how much God loves me. I have to believe in something that I cannot see physically with my own eyes, trust that His ways are better than my ways, and embrace the love that He has shown to me. He loved me, and you, before we were ever born. A love like that is perfect.

When we truly grasp His love, even though it is hard to put into words sometimes, we are able to experience unconditional love for others. We are able to show grace and love people right where they are at.

Yes, today is Valentine's Day, and I hope everyone has a wonderful one....but more than that, I hope each of you knows how much you are loved by God.

Feeling loved, by anyone, is probably one of the best feelings in the world. Feeling loved by God is life-changing!

I had taken these pictures of Brylee a few weeks ago and thought they were fitting for today. Loving anyone requires a leap of faith, whether it is God or a human being. Many times we are "blind" going into it because we have no idea how it will turn out. Even though it doesn't always end the way we expected, we were made to LOVE and we wouldn't have it any other way. So love big today...in whatever way that means for you!
