Brylee's ear surgery

Brylee had surgery Friday morning and she did amazing.

Thursday night we were not sure if they were going to do it because she came home from school sick. She slept all day Thursday....

But by Thursday night she was looking a lot better so they decided it would be ok to follow through with it Friday. 

Her sweet friends Noelle, Anna Kate and Rose came by to bring her a gift for surgery and it was so thoughtful. They made her a card (which you can see she put on her vanity) and brought her a pillow pet to take to surgery. Brylee was very excited about it and it helped her to be excited about surgery and not scared. So grateful for her sweet friends and their Mommy :)

Brylee did so well before and after the surgery. She teared up as they took her off without us but other than that she was such a big girl. She was only under about 30 minutes and everything went perfectly.

I did not like waiting, even though it was such a short time, so I just tried to pray and not focus on it. I knew she was in good  hands. She woke up very quickly but she wasn't too happy for about an hour or so...

...and they we were able to take her home!

She rested for about an hour and then she was up and going again pretty quickly.

Before bed her friends Cade and Tatum sent us a text and said that they had left her a gift on the doorstep. She was so excited to see what they gave her!! So thankful for all the prayers, all the help from family today, and for thoughtful friends that helped make the day extra special for Miss B! Oh, and Brylee said that when she talks her own voice sounds so different. She can already hear us much better and I couldn't be happier! Really hoping this takes care of the hearing issue.
